Missions
The congregation at Cameron Avenue is fully committed to sharing the wealth we have in Christ with others. We support a mission church on West Broad Street in Richmond Virginia with minister James Neismith and a Latino congregation in the Harrisonburg, Virginia area where the pulpit is filled by Lucas Vasconcellos.
Our goal to bring children to Christ is realized by our support of the Potter's Children's Home and Family Ministry in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We support them financially each month and have taken groups the last two summers to provide physical support. While in Bowling Green we were able to assist in moving residents, holding an end-of- VBS celebration, cleaning and organizing the food pantry and assembling playground equipment.
We allocate resources to Camp Idlewild in Spring Grove, Virginia. The facilities at the camp are used by local congregations for retreats and gatherings and youth camps are held every summer.
